Dressings

Tapes

The most common latex tape is S&N Elastoplast,
both the pink 1 inch variety and the wider White Elastoplast rolls. contain latex!
                               Avoid if in doubt!

A suitable substitute for compression strapping would be the new 3M Microfoam tapes.
These come in 1 inch (2.5 cm) and wider rolls too. They are non-latex.

 3M Blenderm, Micropore and Transpore are all safe, non-latex.

 

Dressings

Caution: Molyncke Mepital & Mepore small sterile wound dressing packets
are sealed with blue coloured latex, AVOID!

Larger sizes that do not have the blue coloured latex packet seal are safe.
They are all unmarked either way! (All ranges in transition to non-latex)

New stock of 3M Tagaderm IV line dressing is non-latex and one of the few marked as such,
If it is not marked as non-latex, avoid. It is old stock and the packaging has a latex seal.

Smith & Nephew Opsite IV3000 dressing is non-latex, including the packaging.
It is not labelled as such.

Plasters may be non-latex, avoid obvious Elastplast knitted versions.
They are NOT marked in any way!  Avoid if in doubt
